Convert CSV to JSON online — header row becomes keys, quoted fields and commas handled. Paste, convert, copy.
| Input | Output |
|---|---|
| name,age\nAda,36 | [{ "name": "Ada", "age": "36" }] |
| "Say, hi",x | quoted field keeps its comma |
| a,b\n1,2\n3,4 | array of 2 objects |
Yes — the first row is used as the JSON keys. If your CSV has no header, add one line at the top (anything: a,b,c...) and convert again.
No — every value stays a string, because CSV has no type information. '36' could be an age or a zip code; converting types blindly corrupts data. Post-process with JSON.parse on the fields you know are numeric.
Wrap the field in double quotes (standard CSV quoting): "Smith, John",42 converts correctly with the comma preserved. A quote inside a quoted field is written doubled ("").
No server limit — everything runs in your browser, so the practical limit is your machine's memory. Files of a few hundred thousand rows convert fine.
